Changing our rules
We are consulting on the proposed new rules for King Street Housing. The Board reviewed the proposed rules on the 21st of March 2012 and asked for shareholders to review the proposed changes and feedback any comments or questions to the Chief Executive before they are formally presented for approval at a Special General Meeting.

Looking to get back into work or training?
Illuminate is a Cambridge based charity that provides access to personal development and life coaching tools to the unemployed or those on a limited income. We do this through group and 1-2-1 work. From June to October 2012, Illuminate will be running a programme in Cambridge to work with 12 people using its Confidence for Change Programme funded by the European Social Fund. The programme will consist of workshop days, personal 1-2-1 coaching and group development sessions over 6 months. This is an in depth and uplifting programme for those committed to making fundamental change to their lives in getting back to work, training or becoming self employed.

We answered 80% of our stage one complaints within target during March 2011 to April 2012.

Finance Assistant
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our busy team. The work is varied and involves working with other departments and our customers. The salary is £15,000 and the post is full time, 37 hours per week.

Work starts at Girton
Ksh has started work on building four new family homes in Wellbrook Way, Girton. The Four homes form part of a bigger development which will see Girton Town Charity developing a further seven homes to be let as Almshouses to local residents.

Elaine Wheatley - Former Chair of the Board
The Board and Management of King Street were sad to hear of the death of one of its former Chairs, Elaine Wheatley on 14th January 2012. Mrs Wheatley was a board member of the Society from 1982 to 2005 and was Chair from 2000 to 2004.
