Homelink
You can look for a new home by registering on the Home-Link scheme. Most available council and housing association homes in the Cambridge area are advertised on the Home-Link scheme.
The available council and housing association homes in seven local council areas are advertised on the scheme. These include:
• Cambridge City Council
• East Cambridgeshire District Council
• Fenland District Council
• Forest Heath District Council
• Huntingdonshire District Council
• South Cambridgeshire District Council
• St Edmundsbury District Council
You can register on the scheme by contacting your local council or on the Home-Link website
Once you have registered, your housing needs will be assessed and your application will be placed on one of four housing needs bands – A to D.
The available homes are advertised every 2 weeks. You will be able to express your interest in properties that are suitable for you by ‘bidding’. You can bid for properties on the website, by text, on the phone, in person at your local council office or by post.
More information about the Home-Link scheme is available from the Home-Link website or from your local council. You can also speak to a member of KSH staff or have a look at the ‘Moving on’ section of the KSH tenancy handbook
